As the wolves approached the town a mist started to form across the hills. The mist although still a stones throw away from town had a strange odor to it as it drifted along slowly. Strange sounds were heard riding along the edge of the mist as it drew closer and closer to town, as if something was coming. At that very instant, the glow that had been in the the center of town for more than a thousand years started to change from a brilliant blue hue to a blood thirsty red. Out of the shadows came a winged beast thirsting for more than a meal. The Fae who stood looking on cackled as she raised her staff high in the air calling to the winged beast whom landed at her feet and bowed slightly while changing into a human type form although not fully human. The elder man who was positioned across the street, seemed to not be afraid at all compared to the towns people who were running as if their lives depended on it. the old man growled deeply as his face started to contort. Bones could be heard cracking as his small frame started to grow and bulk up. His shape was changing rapidly now, even his fingers grew to well over ten inches. His height had now reached close to nine feet which was something a movie might have been made about. His now covered in fur body was something to be seen for sure. His eyes had taken on a yellow glow and the entire body seemed to glow in the moonlight. The pack of wolves who had now rounded the corner stopped a few feet from the man. At that point he howled loudly and the rest of the pack followed suit. Their bodies all started this change. it only took a few minutes which seemed to be more like hours as all of them had made this change. They all stood upright with saliva coming from their jaws as they approached the Fae. Shutters could be heard slamming as it was beginning to look like a fight was going to happen. But, who was dark? and, more importantly who was light?.......

The morning light appears in the distance while a flock of crows circle overhead. The townspeople clinging to hope that today will bring a new light to the town. We find a few gathering small trinkets packing them away hiding in various places in their homes for that few knew what was coming, or more assuredly what what going to happen. a mist started to roll across the lands engulfing everything in its path. An Eery sound was riding along the mist as if ushering in something unique to the lands. For after darkness light always follows, or does it? Gazing up to the mountain peak an elderly gentleman who had always before kept to himself never leaving his home was now outside. his tattered clothing had rips and tears as if he had been in a fight with a creature. Looking closer at his stature it was noticed that he seemed to be gaining some youth, his eyes were blood red and his teeth were as jagged as the teeth on a saw blade. Not moving he kept his eyes focused on the mountain muttering softly to himself. A small child approached him and said in a soft spoken voice "hello sir" he turned toward her and growled as he spoke "LEAVE, or faith the wrath" she bolted out of sight crying as she left for the fear in her was so overwhelming no one could possibly have scared her in such a way. you see, the child had been deaf since birth, and even she heard his voice.
A fog was drifting into the village as the wolves howled loudly. Calling to others of their kind. The clicking of feet could be heard across the lands as more and more wolves seemed to be heading up the mountain toward the cave. Meanwhile down in the village torches were lit trying to make more light, people scurried about in a panic state gathering their young. A lightning bolt hit the center of town with a loud CLAP of thunder echoing shattering windows, a brilliant red glow emerged with a Fae dressed in clad in her Gothic attire. she cackled a laugh which sounded like the jaws of a lion slamming down on its prey. Her cheeks were narrow and her eyes darkened and lifeless. Her shape was thin at best. Some of the people crowded in doorways trying to not be seen. Others, were trying to hide in the shadows scared of what was coming or what would happen. The Fae grasp her staff she was holding and held it high in the air, the tip of which started glowing a deep red like that of blood flowing from a fresh kill. closing her eyes for a moment that felt more like eternity mumbling something unfamiliar to all who were close enough to hear, she forced her staff to the ground causing it to shake beneath her feet. with a twist and twirl she disappeared from view. NOW everyone in town were worried of what was coming.
As the sun slowly sets across the mountain tops we find the hustle bustle of the village being carried out. A song fills the air as the locals are doing their nightly bidding preparing for a gathering. Suddenly! A loud crack is heard that echoed across the lands as if the Lightning Bolt from Zues himself was nearby. Screams could be heard far far away as the women of the village ran for shelter. The men all gathered together looking toward the mountain tops. A dark orange glow was seen coming from the cave opening that had not been seen in many a dark age. Feeling a presence among them they began to whisper quietly while keeping their eyes focused on the cave in the distance. The moonlight is a slight blue color but something is wrong with this particular one. A loud ear piercing howl is heard coming from the cave, people began to run to their little homes closing shutters and slamming doors as if they had seen this before. But what you ask? Well my little ones, a very long time ago a spell was cast on these lands where there was once a full blown city but now is a humble village, where one of the citizens had upset a Fae. Feeling totally disgusted by a young man and his new wife and the affection they were displaying in public she placed a curse on them and the unborn child the young lady was carrying. For you see, this Fae was once more beautiful than any flower or living creature, until the young mans father turned his killer dogs on her scaring her for eternity. So her vengance was that the man, and young wife would both become werewolves on the third full blue moon. And tonight it happened to be just that. The moon was full, The moon was blue, and it was the third one since the curse was placed on them both. Nerves were on edge since no one knew what had happened to the young child she was carrying. Was it alive and being raised by two wolves? Or, did they turn and after the baby was born feast on the youngling. The answers will be forth coming soon.......
As the ground shook from the earthquake, A force not seen in ages was happening, for long long ago the village to the North who's name we shall not mention had driven the Unseelie deep into the caves which through out time had covered an unknown amount of lands. After driving them deep into the cave system a large boulder was moved into place covering the only escape for the Unseelies. You see, as the Earth trembled the boulder had broke apart leaving a gaping hole. As the sun rose higher into the sky, word had spread of this terrible ordeal that was happening, The Unseelies were now free again and had vowed to take action on all who had forced them deep underground. As they made their way out of the caves the sky darkened with thick black clouds, Lightning spread across the skies. With each one stepping outside the caves the lightning grew worse and worse. Finally the eldest unseelie appeared, looking up she raised her arms high in the air before glancing down from the mountain onto the village. Her eyes glazed over, her body shook with anger as she pointed down and with a loud shriek she said "NOW is the time for vengeance" they traveled single file to hide how many their actually were, slipping behind trees and shrubs as they moved quietly together. Down below the village people were hustling about trying to decide how to protect themselves. With each one passing the other as if a flock of chickens running into each other. Women were crying and the Men were scurrying about. The eldest unseelie reached out touching a branch that was in her way causing it to turn brown as if it were already dead. What will happen to this poor village this time? What else is in store for them? Only time will tell.................
As we last visited the village the residents were terrified as to what was happening, with the current earthquakes and the mountain above them trembling no one could possibly imagine what was going on. the sun was rising higher and turning a blood red, Water in the babbling creek was starting to give off steam as the temperature increased. The mountain gave off a loud explosion sending rocks, dust, and debrey far into the sky, Some sort of cave had opened up. A few of the towns people ran to their homes slamming doors and shutting windows for they had seen this once before oh so long ago. Mayor Liz ran to her office to look through her telescope taking a peek on the hillside. she studied it for a moment trying to focus in on some movement when she let out a loud scream. For her telescope was indeed already focused but, she could not believe what she was actually viewing. A rather large Dragon had come from the cave flying around the village. While she watched it landed just on the outskirts of town looking back toward the mountain. as she turned her attention in that direction she noticed a gathering of people high up on the mountain. They were seemingly gathering something working together. One of them had their own telescope and was looking down on the town. Liz shuttered for a moment then took her eyes off the mountain. Sending word across the town for all to meet in the local pub. What was she going to say? Was Mayor Liz part of something? Or, was she trying to protect the village and all the residents....
As we last seen the Wagons from the Gypsy encampment leaving the village, a trail of dust was rising into the morning sun which was just beginning to peek over the top of the far off mountain range. The mountains long thought of as a place where no man or woman had dared to venture seemed to be a bit different this morning. The clouds had gathered forming a dark circle over the peak letting only a small ray of sunshine pierce through. Birds seemed to be nervous as they landed across the village farms picking away as the seeds that were just planted, Something was wrong and no one not even the town mayor who had been hiding since the Gypsies had first arrived. he was seen almost running across the square his tiny feet slapping at the ground while he was heard mumbling to himself but loud enough for some to hear "I knew it, I knew it, I knew it" was coming from his lips as he pranced about heading to the church. just as he reached the doorstep the ground started shaking and trembling! Glancing back toward the mountain Mayor Dimple seen something that had not been seen in so many aged most had forgotten about it. A flash of lightning and smoke seemed to come from the peak. The blue sky was turning red as if it were bleeding. Far off to the West toward the Ocean a ship was appearing from afar, a sound which made your skin crawl and hair of the back of your neck stand up in fear was heard with an echo in the distance. The ground beneath the village was cracking and where the mighty blue Orb was once peaceful a sort of doorway had began to appear. The village was in an uproar trying to learn what was coming. How many things were to penetrate on the village? For the Gypsies had been there long ago and returned unleashing something terrible once long ago, now they had left and something once again was happening. But what? The sun started turning a blood red as the heat grew hotter and hotter late that evening, Something was in the Air most certainly that late afternoon. Everyone that was out and about trying to do some last minute shopping before the Gypsies left town even though no one knew if they would in fact leave or not. Sweat seemed to be streaming down their bodies like a brook that had lost its way. Everyone that is except a small frail woman who was shroud in what looked like some sort of cloak. She walked with a cane and a slight limp not many had noticed her enter town. One person did notice her and that was the Gypsy woman who seemingly was frightened by her presence. Word started to spread and questions were raised "who was she and what did she want? was she the one who had brought the curse all those years ago? or was she something else?" Not many knew and more were very skeptical of her. What was her name? At a closer look the right side of her cloak had a letter that was sewn quite raggedy, the letter was E! but what did it stand for? no one wanted to ask her, and in fact no one seemed to want to even approach her at all. for all around her as she gimped her way across the grasses a foul odor was present and the air was very very stale. But why? what was going to happen now? As she approached the young Gypsy woman whose face was a perfect as any woman would die to look like, something had changed. For the young Gypsy seemed to bow down as if bowing to royalty. But why? The frail woman slipped her hand under the chin of the gypsy and smiled at her lifting her head up to look in her eyes. Without saying a word, more was said by that look than anyone can possibly imagine. They walked slowly toward the brook in the center of town arm in arm as the towns people stood by staring. When the frail woman and the young Gypsy walked to the brook they stopped and whispered something in a strange language to each other. Both of them chuckled after which they hugged once more before the frail elderly woman walked away slowly towards the edge of town. After reaching the last house which was now behind her she turned and waved and with a swirl of wind she disappeared into the now setting sun. The young woman turned toward the towns people whom had all gathered around to witness what had just happened she spoke ever so softly but with a tone in which no one could or would dare interrupt. She spoke with a firmness in which some called soft but deafening. she spoke of past happenings and future events that would leave the hair on the back of your necks standing on edge. She spoke of things to come that would indeed change all lives as they knew it. When she finished she motioned to the other Gypsies that had circled around to listen in, all of them with not so much as a word seemed to know what she was going to say. She spoke one last time letting all know she was the matriarch of the Gypsies and the frail woman was her mother who in fact had did the black magic deeds that had been done oh so long ago. everything from Timmy the tree, the Ogre, even the floating jellyfish were of her mothers doings. She spoke how the town had treated her years before calling her names and chasing her out of town, setting fire to her wagon and all the other things the locals had done to passer byes. She said with a firmness now that scared so many, "If I hear of anymore such nonsense coming from these lands I will return with a vengeance unlike you have ever seen before. I will unleash something so evil nothing will be standing when i finish." With that final word the others turned and gathered up their pots and pans, their ware for sale and even their other belongings, without saying a word all of them formed a line of wagons as the young woman walked over to the lead wagon and spectacularly jumped into the seat without a struggle. With a soft whistle the horses started to pull cart and wagon after wagon to the edge of town. Just like when they arrived they were now gone. BUT, something was different. Something had changed, the air seemed quite stale and smelled of something unfamiliar to anyone left standing. What was this strange odor? What could possibly be coming now? What was in store for them next?? Only time will tell, or will it even let the secret out....
Later that morning as the people were glancing around at all the wondrous things both the gypsies and others had brought forth to the town, something was stirring which threatened the very existence of which had been given to them. For under the bridge where the ogre had been hiding before the Gypsy had seen him there was a tinge growing in the water that flowed under the bridge. the slightly discolored water was slowly making its way to the sea and circling the area. some of the people looked around and did not see the Ogre, some say it was him who was making this happen, others still think it was an elder male who had happened into town the night before unseen by many but seen by a few. The elder male walked with a slight limp and used a cane to help him along, his hair was stringy, his clothes smelled of an odor unlike you had ever smelled before. A search had begun to find the Ogre and the elder male but, no one could find them. They searched every building and tent around and still no sign of them were found. Some of the trees which were by the brook were starting to wither as if dying a slow horrendous death. the grasses were turning brown and still no one knew what was happening. The locals in town were beginning to panic. Children were forced to go indoors to try and keep safe. The mood was rapidly changing from a festival to something more hideous and frightening. The search was on for sure. Even though no one knew exactly what they were looking for, non the less, the search continued. -Gwen Gudkov Roughneck Official Hidden Sanctuary Events Storyteller As the sun peeked up across the village, it seemed to be busy that weekend. Travelers had come from far and near to sell their wares and see what was to come of this tiny village that had a past that not many had known about. People were running about anxious to see what others had brought. Over by the swamp area where the Jelly fish were floating about, the air was crisp but something was extremely different about this morning, for the young Gypsy woman who had always seemed to appear from her tent later in the mornings was already up and slowly walking around. What did she do the night before? But, as the town was filling up with more and more people the new question was, where would they all stay? For one caravan tent was selling wagons for some to sleep in while some others were selling things ranging from crystal balls to clothing that would surely make some hearts melt. plunging necklines skirts that seemed to flow in the breeze. One wagon even was selling wigs that were so very nice, but, where did all these people come from? why now? what was happening to this seemingly quiet town? The young gypsy woman who had chanted the night before was very happy to see what she had done, seen over next to the blue orb she was smiling and nodding to all the folks coming to town, a couple of locals approached her very quietly and decided now was the time to ask what was going on. The young woman gazed into their eyes, her own blue eyes seemed to sparkle as she smiled and said in a soft tone which was very pleasing to the ears, " long, long ago, when i was still in my mothers womb, we stopped here the night i was born. The few people that were around at that time gave my mother comfort. After hearing of the plight brought here by some evil sorcerer When i became of age and was thrust forward as the new leader of the Gypsies, I studied long and hard to control my magic. I do possess some dark magic but, mostly i have light magic inside me, I decided to help this land as they helped my mother and lift all curses that had fallen here before, " then she smiled widely and motioned to where Timmy the tree had stood before and quietly whispered, Timmy is whole again and out playing with the other children. BUT, she said with a change in her voice which went ice cold as she spoke, "DO NOT forsake my gift or all who dwell here will be cursed with an evil that has never been seen before" and with that she slipped away toward the center of town where most of the people had gathered expecting something but what they had no idea.
